The Canadian Operational Research Society is a professional association of people interested in applying operational research in Canada . We define operational research broadly to include interests in quantitative modelling, optimization, computer modelling, systems thinking, and similar areas.              The Calgary Section has members from many industries, including: energy, manufacturing, software development, and education. Every year the efforts are made to arrange the speakers from the different field who are applying the operation research methods.
