Maurice Elliott
Maurice
Elliott holds a master’s
degree in Operational research from the University of Birmingham in
England. He
emigrated to Canada in 1970 and worked at Massey Ferguson’s head office
in
Toronto. In 1980, he moved to Calgary to join Dome Petroleum Ltd. He
and his
group were responsible for developing a number of optimization and
financial
planning systems for Dome and, later, Amoco Canada. In 1993, Maurice
left Amoco
to form his own consulting company, Decision Insight Systems Inc. He
consulted
for several companies in the Calgary area before joining Husky Energy
in 2003
as a Senior Research Associate, a position he currently holds. At Husky
Energy,
Maurice has been responsible for developing business simulation and
optimization models, and for helping in research and planning
activities. He is
currently a business subject matter expert involved in the development
of a
major new administrative system for Husky’s pipeline group
